No To Racism In Everything

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

As promised before we will always publish any article you send us for everyone to read.
This was sent to us today,if you have any thought lets us know.

Quote:”At work today me and some friends having a debate about racism, kkk, white supremacy and all the usual race things.

Then it hit me ,why African-American/Europeans always complain about race and unfairness ?

I mean really between African-african and African american ,which groups really should complain ?

Lets just see this small chart :

>>  African-american have better life ,even the homeless guy can’t be compared against homeless of the other group,
>> the economy in Africa is not stable , the government doesn’t help the community much, people in it suffer, there were a documentary on channel4 last year september title “The Great African Scandal” were you see people work triple harder than us here and get about .60pences(~1.10$) per day.

>> African-american talk about slavery/racism almost everyday ,every african-american movie always have at least one race relate event, even a girl in that reality show “flavor of love” make a race related comment but Flavor didn’t allowed her to continu that talk , almost every comedy or stand up comedy use race at best.
>> I am originated from Africa and in africa you don’t see much of race talk ,even slavery relate topic is not around every corner : i think africa should be the one complaining much because african suffering much nowadays since slavery took out all the strong men and women.

>> To go to African country ,if you are european or american ,you don’t have lot of paper work to filled , and when you go you are usually treat good, from women till officials. In africa is rare to see americans or europeans poor or low life, with 20000£ you can buy a land in african country and build a house .My friend told me he spend 30000 to build his mansion back in Ghana ,
>> To come in Europe or the USA it usually take lot of papers and funds to get the 1 year visa, without counting the school fees which is not cheap specially for overseas students , on top of that imagine people saving that 2$ per day work to buy plane tickets and get deported ?we all saw last year american idol give away video where the tough Simon have  tears after visited the poor kids in africa.

In all i think Africa is the one much to complain about racism than the rest because africa still suffering till now the consequences of slavery ,there is no way even half African countries be same level as Europe or US right now ,why not you said ,because even the strong hands left in africa all running for better life abroad and usually don’t go back as soon as they get their europeans or americans citizenship.

Last time a friend of mine asked me ,why whenever black  joke at white is funny but when white joke at black it’s called racist ?
-I couldn’t answer him well because is true we think we have the right to say all but not the other way around which is unfair.

I don’t say there is no racism or such but instead of pointing it at every corner or use it as a front for everything ,we can do better ,we can make life easier for each other and i believe soon everyone will live in peace.

There will always be haters, loosers ,or clever politicians or bad intentions individuals who put their life failure or make you believe the source of your failure onto others so they can feel better or gain popularity ,but as long as you know that,i think we all will be fine ,living in a society of mixed without worry.

I think we african-american/european should try forgive not forget but leave aside for our history the race ralated in everything,it’s killing us.

There are quiet lot of field to cover but i choose only this few because its out of this small mail proportion.”
End.

It’s quite open but everyone have his opinion on a problem.
Give us your thoughts please.

Amazing Drama: The No.1 Ladies’ Detective Agency

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

If you don’t know or havn’t heard about the new BBC drama The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency filmed entirely in Botswana then you are missing something extraordinary on tv.

The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency

Charme ,nature beauty combined with a great story and a well played characters.

I love Africa and seeing this drama just bring tears in my eyes .

The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency

There is no Hollywood special effects or such but just good acting and extraordinary landscape.

I have to admit it , i watch it twice via BBC iplayer just for the  fascinating beauty of the landscape and the traditional clothes.

The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency

The beauty of Africa is the traditional value and this drama really shows some of it.

The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency

I can only thanks BBC for an outstanding work as we only see Africa most of the time in news, documentary, and low budget projects.

The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency

“When Precious Ramotswe was young, she spent her days with Obed, her father,
in the wilds of Botswana learning the secrets of nature, and with that the joys
of a natural inquisitiveness and intuition.” Read more here .

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Wii fit to cost 90$ in usa and 69£ (~130$) in uk.

Wii-Fit

If you got a wii ,i dont think you can go wrong with this one.

While you can get fit better in the gym,i don’t think real gamers
even leave their house ;) hence go to the gym ,so the wii fit definitely
is more usefull for the geeks ,although everyone can still enjoy it.

Pre-order your copy to be in the safe side .

Who won’t like getting in shape in his living room ?

The Passion : A Must Watch Drama

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

Quick recommendation for this sacred period is the BBC new shows :The Passion.

 thepassion4.jpg

The show retelling the greatest story ever told (the last week in the life of  Jesus Christ known as the Passion ) in a very nice visual interpretation with great acting .

thepassion2.jpg

“It’s the start of Passover week. In the next few days thousands of pilgrims will pour into Jerusalem to celebrate the most important festival in their religious calendar. For their Roman masters, led by Pontius Pilate, it is the most difficult time of the year. For the High Priest Caiaphas and his Temple priests the workload will be heavy and the pressure to maintain civil order will be intense.

Then news is brought that Jesus the Galilean is approaching the city on a donkey’s colt, and will be entering Jerusalem through the East Gate – thus fulfilling two of the most powerful religious prophecies of the coming of the Messiah. The one who many believe will lead them to military victory or spiritual salvation.

On the streets a crowd is beginning to gather.

And the week has only just begun…”.

If you missed previous episodes and want to catch up , either check the bbc iplayer link for previous episodes you can watch online or the first 3 episodes will be repeated on Easter Sunday 23rd March beginning at 14:15 on BBC ONE.

Unfortunately the iplayer will work only for those in the UK so for the rest outside the UK:

“The series will be available on DVD at a later date. Bible Society is producing a pack of educational materials to accompany the series for use in schools, churches and adult education. It is legal to record the broadcast for your personal use, but it is illegal to use that copy for public display.”
