Grand Theft Auto IV Leaked A Week Before Street Date

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

Sometimes i understand why companies are trying so hard to combat piracy.

GTA IV

Grand Theft Auto IV is probably the game of the year, everyone i know ,every mature gamers awaiting so badly this game by preordering their copies or waiting to grab one next week , but seems internet underground group iCON braked the ice earlier by releasing to the internet almost a week before worldwide retail date set for 29/04/2008.

They even decided to warn those wanting to play live.

Quote:

“–iCON brings you: Grand Theft Auto IV

not region free! sorry bushlovers!
Japan, Rest Of Asia, Australia, Rest Of Europe
hey this is iCON again. we just finished
that crappy GTAIV game of thing and thought
you might want to have it too. so here it is.
!!! IMPORTANT: !!!
DONT PLAY THIS GAME WHILE CONNECTED TO XBOX LIVE TILL NEXT WEEK!
DONT PLAY THIS GAME WHILE CONNECTED TO XBOX LIVE TILL NEXT WEEK!
DONT PLAY THIS GAME WHILE CONNECTED TO XBOX LIVE TILL NEXT WEEK!
setcha xbox live profiles to hide your games
list from dirty little spys. or skip online
till next monday. otherwise you might get banned
for playing this bitch early.
if u dont mind, well.. like we care.
and guys, seriously, go and buy this one!
R* deserves it…

——iCON – Passion for Videogames—– ”

Funny though they advised people to go buy it ,but if they care that much why released such anticipated game before retail date in first place ?

I really hope people will go buy this awesome game not because i am related to Rockstar games but because this going to be maybe the only game you really want to play and you can really enjoy it only if you hold a legal copy.

>> Now another point i really want to bring out is for the companies appointed to fight piracy.
The root of the piracy doesn’t lie much with the home user who managed to have 40mbit line at home just to download fast copyrighted materials but with the source of the first copy .

For instance this game , for sure either a menber of the group works in the retail industry, run a retail store,or is related to someone in the industry there is no possible way they can have access to it before retail date.

So rethink your strategy and start tracking through the retail industry itself instead of the bittorents or p2p channels, they are just the hands and feets of the big P (p for piracy), go after the head which is within the retail industry itself. <<

Notes:  If you want to read more about the release or the source web the info about it was posted on , you have to google it ,we didn’t included the website link because we don’t want to encourage people to visit it,sorry.

Wiiiplayer or BBC iPlayer for Wii

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

The video download and streaming service that lets people catch up with BBC programmes is now a channel on the hugely popular game console Nintendo Wii. Early versions of the service is available since 9 April but more polished software will be released as the service developed.

According to BBC they are working to produce a whole host of Iplayer versions for various other game consoles as well as handheld devices.
It is already accessible on Apple’s iPhone and the iPod Touch though.

If you ‘re tired of sitting in front of the pc to watch your missed episodes and you own a Wii then Wiiiplayer is definitely a winner.

Adobe Media Player 1.0

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

Adobe launched the Adobe Media Player 1.0(AMP) into the heavy flooded media player market.

AMP UI

Adobe’s Media Player is a standalone Video box application that runs under the Adobe Integrated Runtime(AIR) platform.
The Media Player allows users to subscribe to various web channels and streams free content.

Adobe has partnered with a number of content providers such as CBS, PBS, MTV and more to bring more content but unlike iTunes, AMP is not right now a store and offers free and ad-supported content, but that might change in future according to Adobe to bring payment systems to offer purchase and rental options.

AMP UI

The Media Player is compatible with both PCs and Macs.
The player supports playback for FLV and h.264 encoded content up to Hi-Def quality.
Content may be available for streaming or download with and without DRM depending on the rights granted by the content providers.

If you looking to try something new you can give it a Go but presently I don’t think the world’s ready to move away from iTunes yet.

Zimbabwe Soon Free ?

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

What happening now to Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe should happen everywhere in the third world where some people just turn the presidency as family business for so long .

Sometimes you wonder why at 84 years old  and 28 years of ruling a country like a family store he still want to govern instead of just go leave peacefully somewhere for the little years that left for him ?

I just hope for the country in case he pulls some tricks the world leaders can find some way to bind him down .

Zimbabwe is just a fish in the pond ,there are more countries in the third world with same ruling history pattern.
