A New Day or just a New President ?

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008
Quote: “If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

Today I woke up feeling like a little baby on a boxing day with few gifts under my pillow, but rest assure not my pillow but the Americans pillows.

Barack Obama has won the election and become the first African-American president in the united states of America and I have to say I was just wondering how good it must feel for the American people and mostly the minorities but does it really matter ?

Well for me personally the question is not who is elected but does the elected president have the sufficient power to really govern? Can he deliver all the promises? Time will tell but still only a fool will believe every promise said in a campaign will really be deliver, right?

Everyone happy but I think there are lot of differences why everyone is happy.
I am happy because I really believe Obama will deliver better and politically he will give people much more hope of better future (although that future can seem very long), but:

Lot of people are happy just because he is black and mostly they think he’s going to do some different or turn misery upside down overnight. Let’s face it, it’s going to take lot and we just need to keep supporting him much, as he said:

Quote “We may not get there in one year or even one term, but America – I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you – we as a people will get there.”

The colour of his skin going to play lot in his future days as president either we like it or not, lot of news flash, controversy, words taking out of contest as our media do often and generate lot of tension.

I just hope we the people learn to distinguish between good and bad and when really bad taking a good colour to fool us, don’t just believe everything you see in the news (and you know them ;d ), educate yourself, research yourself , don’t just follow, be free, be independent.

Remember the night is long but the day will always come!

Notes: I always think he will win though as everything looks like from the start a big master plan ahead.

Parents Need To Take Responsabilties

Friday, October 24th, 2008

I Have 3 kids and I never blame anybody when they do some wrong, most of the time I blame myself more.
We can’t live in a society where we blame someone else where we failed, people complain the government bringing too much law and human freedom is mostly affect by it.

Doing my daily news read online I came across this story about  this 15-year-old who has been missing after running away from his home because his parents took away his Xbox 360 and they blaming it on his excessive play of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare  which affecting his sleep and social skills…
Check source here.

My question is why blame the game , and I hate to say it, all those fuzz about video games and age appropriate talk are just stupid. Instead tell parents to get involve more into their kids life instead of just sending the kid to TV, games so they can have some free time for themselves.People can’t stop their creativity mind because some parents failed?

My kids understand what’s in the game is not true or real so they play for fun little bit, then quit, they never tried to mimic what they did in it because I explained to them what’s real and not , I play with them a bit too and we discuss game design, video and effect on us as gamers.

To make long story short they shouldn’t have let the kid get addict to the game before took it away from him and quit blaming the game, blame the system, and start educating more your kids about games content and what’s real and what’s not and mostly the age rate of every game.

And let’s not forget so much crap on TV now in the name of reality, so please games are just a tiny portion of the problem.

Let’s hope he will be back home soon and please parents watch your kids and make they are playing their age games and mostly you can use parents control on your xbox ashboard too.
